The transaction focuses on two adjoining buildings located on Mariscal Street (numbers 3 and 5), with a combined area of approximately 2,800 square meters. Staying true to its business model, Edgar Suites will carry out a comprehensive refurbishment of these properties, which form part of the local urban heritage, transforming them into an 84-unit complex.

The new establishment will offer a diverse range of accommodation options, from functional studios to spacious four-bedroom apartments, designed to meet the needs of families, groups, and corporate clients seeking the comfort of a home with hotel-style services.

Rapid growth in the Spanish market

This acquisition represents the company’s third operation in Spain and its second in the city of Málaga in less than a year. In just five months since entering the country, Edgar Suites has committed an investment of €43 million, building a portfolio of 185 rooms across strategic locations.

“Reviving forgotten urban spaces and giving them a second life is a fundamental part of our vision,” the company stated, highlighting the dynamism of Málaga as a key destination for high-quality and sustainable tourism.

2030 objectives

With an eye on the future, the French operator is pursuing an ambitious expansion plan aimed at reaching 4,000 rooms by the end of the decade. In addition to Málaga, the company continues to explore asset repositioning opportunities in cities such as Madrid, Barcelona, Valencia and Sevilla.
