Bravus Iberian Partners appoints Ignacio Altolaguirre as partner and CIO to drive its expansion in Iberia

Bravus Iberian Partners has announced the appointment of Ignacio Altolaguirre as its new partner and Chief Investment Officer (CIO), in a clear move to strengthen its positioning and accelerate its growth in the Iberian market. The firm, which already exceeds €100 million in assets under management, thus completes a process of strengthening its executive structure.
The arrival of Altolaguirre responds to the need to consolidate the investment area with an experienced profile. According to the CEO of the company, Alexander Eriksson, his appointment aims to boost growth, foster strategic partnerships, and lead the firm’s investment activity.
“His appointment will allow us to strengthen the company’s growth, develop strategic partnerships, and lead investment activity.”
The new CIO will play a central role in executing the firm’s strategy, with a particular focus on Flex Living, the hospitality sector, and residential real estate, which are considered priority segments within its expansion plan.
A profile with extensive experience in real estate investment
Ignacio Altolaguirre has a solid track record in real estate investment and business development, with experience in opportunity identification, feasibility analysis, and the management of complex transactions. He has participated in projects across the residential, living, and hospitality sectors, as well as in structuring partnerships with investors and operators.
Before joining Bravus Iberian Partners, he served as Head of Acquisitions at Layetana, where he led land acquisition for Build to Rent, Senior Living, and Build to Sell projects. Among his key achievements is the development of a platform of more than 2,000 rental housing units, with a total investment exceeding €500 million.
Strategic reinforcement of the executive team
Altolaguirre’s appointment adds to other recent senior hires within the company, including David Domínguez as CFO and Ignacio Sabau as Head of Architecture. With these additions, Bravus Iberian Partners is building a stronger executive team prepared to enter a new phase of growth and expansion in the Iberian market.
In his new role, Altolaguirre will lead the company’s investment strategy, focusing on opportunity generation, transaction management, and capital raising. Academically, he holds a degree in Law and Business Administration from Universidad Antonio de Nebrija, and an Executive MBA from EAE Business School, along with specialised training in real estate investment.
